Why white meat is bad! (GRAPHIC)

Why white meat is bad! (GRAPHIC)

Ambas as opções - carne e frango - destroem o ambiente.

(Galinha deformada/deformed chicken)

Only way the chickens can feed themselves, hurting his neck)

(Não é preciso descrição/It does not need description)

Beijinhos!

WARNING: THIS POST WILL SHOW IMAGES "SHOCKING" AND I AM WARNING THAT WHO CANT SEE  THIS TYPE OF IMAGES, TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS AND I WILL STOP PUBLISHING THIS IMAGES. FOR TODAY JUST PASS THE PHOTOS AND TRY NOT SEE! I APOLOGY TO THOSE WHO DOTN WANT TO SEE BUT  I HAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU!

In a post I made recently (here) mentioned that the white meat can be worse than red meat, and there were people who were curious about this topic, so in decided to do a post explaining why I have said that.

The first thing we have to do is distinguish red meat of white:
Red meats are practically all the meat that comes from mammals, such as the cow and the pig, white meat are the birds, such as chicken and turkey.
We say red meat because of a pigment in the blood called "myoglobin" The primary function of myoglobin is the oxygen reserves in the muscles of mammals. The muscles of these animals have a red color due to the high concentration of myoglobin. and when these animals move the muscles generate energy from the blood. Thus the more myoglobin there is a piece of meat, redder it is. (And that's why chickens are so skinny)

Being vegan, I say that none of these meats are good for us, and we should not eat any of them.

When I said in another post that the white meat was bad, I did not mean me only our health but also the environment, but I'll explain.

People often say they have stopped eating red meat out of concern for animals, the environment or your health (or all three). Of course every effort to make the world a kinder and less polluted place is good. But cut down on meat while still eating chicken does not solve the whole problem.

Both options - beef and chicken - destroy the environment. Some environmental organizations say that it is advisable to cut meat, but eat other meats is "relatively" ok. It's really not.

On global warming, all animal agriculture is a nightmare in relation to production in grains and beans. The scientists conclude that the business of raising animals for food accounts for about 18 percent of all heating - indeed meat causes about 40 percent more warming than all cars, trucks, airplanes and combined.

That's partly because making animals for meat requires many power stages (intensive and polluting) production (ie the transport of animal feed, livestock and meat, running feed mills, slaughterhouses, compared to plant foods .

Environmental Defence has calculated that if all Americans ceased to make a weekly meat meal and replace them with vegetarian foods, would be equivalent to remove more than half a million cars off US roads. Imagine if we left to eat all the meat from our diet altogether.

Now on health:

Excess protein of a turkey, for example, can lead to a loss of calcium and an increased risk of osteoporosis, kidney damage, high blood pressure, cholesterol, heart and increased production of the growth factor insulin-like diseases hormone 1 (IGF-1) - what they think is the factor that enhances the growth of cancer cells.

The New York Times reported that poultry waste has more than doubled the concentration of pollutants. That is why in part ace poultry are given many more drugs than pigs and cattle - because they are kept in worse conditions and therefore require more drugs. That said, injecting more drugs in poultry, and then we'll eat these birds, we are consuming these drugs.

(Image above)
This seems to you clean and "healthy" ??
Because of these conditions, drugs are injected into the birds they are able to "survive" in this super small space and dirty for that animal. And with that, these drugs will pass for us, and we do not want that, right?
A scientist examined the health of poultry workers and found that more than 40 percent of test subjects were infected with Campylobacter bacteria, and that was "too large" and was very resistant to antibiotics. He commented: "There has been a lot of stupid things we did as a species ... but this (giving antibiotics animals) must be one of the most stupid."

Besides their toxic effects on the human body, the meat, eggs and dairy products containing large amounts of harmful substances such as cholesterol and saturated fats. For example, a large egg containing more than 200 milligrams of cholesterol, and chicken contains the same amount of a cholesterol beef.

I will leave here (above) some pictures for you see how the chickens live (WHO DOES NOT WANT JUST SKIP FORWARD)

In conclusion, even though the white meat is "better" for those who want to lose weight, it does not mean it's good for our health!
I hope you learned something from this post, realize that all meats are bad and see the cruelty they do to animals.

Leave it in the comments if you`re clarified and if you have any more doubts?
Enjoy this type of post?
Kisses!

Benefits of being vegan after 4 months!

15:32 8
Benefits of being vegan after 4 months!

Boa tarde!

Nº4
Saúde
Nestes quatro meses eu nunca estive doente.

ENGLISH:
Good afternoon! Today I bring you a celebration post! Last Monday (17th) made four months that I am VEGAN! It's so good to feel that I am contributing to something good, not only for us but also for animals and the environment. And today I will tell you the benefits that this new lifestyle brought me.

N ° 1
Energy

Eat vegetables and fruit, can not appear, but leave me with a lot of energy. Energy to exercise and lift me up from the couch. Sleep at least 8 hours a day helps a lot, but do not have the fat and the crap that come in meat and fish help even more.

N ° 2
Healthy
Being vegan, we stop eating many things that our body does not need and begin to eat what really should eat, which is fruit and vegetables. Everyone knows that the fruit has sugar but very few people know that that sugar does not make us bad, quite the contrary, it is good for us, and the fruit is not fattening !!
Eating vegetables and fruit are much healthier than when we eat meat and fish.
Before being vegan, she lived a healthy life, eat light things, tried to eat only white meat (come to find out that these meats are even worse than red meat), but since I turned vegan, I am much healthier, and do not need those "garbage day" because being vegan is almost impossible to find foods that are considered "junk" because everything is made of plant form which is fantastic.

BUT REMEMBER THAT IS NOT A VEGAN DIET BUT A LIFESTYLE!

N ° 3
skin
Always suffered with acne, I tried many products but frankly none did the effect, or none made the effect that i wanted that was run out of bubbles and stains.

Now I feel that my skin is softer, with less appearance of bubbles, of course I still have acne, but not as much as i had before. And I owe it to veganism. Like my hair grows faster and stronger.

N ° 4
Cheers

In these four months I've never been sick. I've never been constipated and this was something I picked up very often. Of course I have headaches sometimes, but that's normal. But colds and allergies stopped coming and I'm sure it has to do with what I eat. I am a person who has plenty of problems of allergies and asthma, and with the change of seasons this gets worse, but the truth is that in these four months I do not remember being with allergies or a cold.

N ° 5
Purpose in life.
Finally and for me the most important benefit! This may sound very cliché but it's completely true. I feel I have something to fight against, in this case the abuse to animals, and it honestly made me feel happier with myself.

Previously I did not know what to do with their lives (not yet know ahah), did not know what to believe, did not have a sense of life, and since I discovered veganism, this has changed. It seems to be an inspiration for some people and that makes me so happy, make people, even just think for a moment, stop eating meat and fish is a good way, just missing the motivation I'd love to give.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it has I showed you that veganism just makes us well and that everyone should be.
Let the comments to say what you think !?
Kisses and till the next post!

What i eat in two days as a vegan on the beach!

14:59 10
What i eat in two days as a vegan on the beach!

Boa tarde meninas.

ENGLISH:
(See images above)
Good afternoon girls. I returned from the beach and it was so good these two days out of the routine, it's a shame they were only two days, but it's better than nothing.
As I said, I thought of doing a "What i eat in a day" but I could take pictures of all my meals, so I can do "what I ate for two days", and i eat a lot!!
So let's start.

On Sunday when I got to the beach we were touring the Nazaré and along the way I was snacking.

I confess it was the first time I ate and even liked.

After lunch we went to a bar / restaurant honestly did not have many options to choose from, but ordered a mixed salad.

In the afternoon we went to lunchI ate more than at lunch!

The salad was not well spiced and I could not eat it all so I asked for toast with nothing and as I had bananas, made toast with banana, which usually do at home, and was very good, but did not remember to take pictures and then still I ate another banana.

At night my family joined all at the table and had dinner, and i eat a lot again.

After dinner we went walk around and i wanted an ice cream, but knew it would be hard to find vegan ice cream, but I found!!

I went to an ice cream parlor where the ice cream is made right on the ice cream parlor and so is much easier. It was just ask the guy who picked me if there was no milk ice cream which he said they had, I chose the fruit of the forest, it was good but a bit boring. The boy was super friendly and even wiped the spoon with which takes the ice cream, just to not contain any trace of the other milk ice cream. The ice cream parlor is called "Gelatomania" I loved it!

The next day, Monday, my breakfast was super simple.

As the weather was not very nice, we left the beach for the afternoon and went to lunch at a restaurant. In this, there was no dish that I could ask then ordered a vegetable soup and a mixed salad (very good).

My family did not want the potatoes and I'm crazy about potatoes, so they gave them to me. In the end still ate some more potatoes.

For dessert I ordered a fruit salad.

In the beach, I was hungry and went to see if there was any tent that sells fruit, but unfortunately did not find any, which made me quite angry. But I found a lady who was selling nuts and had to be it.

In the car, as in coming home, ate some oreos, and then we stopped at a cafe and ordered a rye bread.

This was all that I ate on the beach and as I said, I eat a lot, but that's how it should be, I have to eat more to replace the meat fats. These days I am aware that I could not eat on time but I always try to eat 2 and half hours at 2 and a half hours for digestion never stop, and the body always be working and to let go of calories.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and if you want more of this type, say in the comments!
Kisses and until the next post.

Recipe: Vegan Cake

14:55 1
Recipe: Vegan Cake

Boa tarde!

Entretanto liguem o forno a 180º.

ENGLISH:
Good afternoon! Today I bring you a super easy recipe to make for those days when we feel like something sweet, like a cake. In this case, it is a completely vegan orange cake!
I never have been much of cakes, honestly, but I like to eat a once in a while.
For over a month I found this recipe and wanted to do it for my family coming to my house for lunch.
I ran straight to the kitchen to make the cake with the help of my mother of course, and at the end was very good, that even my grandmother asked for the recipe to make at home.

And when my mother recently asked to do it again I decided to take pictures to post here on the blog.

What are going to need:
· 1 Oil Cup
· 2 cups sugar (I put one and a half)
· 1 Orange w / peel
· 1 cup water
· 3 cups self-rising flour

·1/2 baking spoons (ONLY if the flour does not have)

Instructions:

First you join the oil, sugar, water, and flour (and baking), I joined in a bowl but can put it all together on the machine until it all mixed up.

In the meantime turn the oven to 180 degrees. Now cut the orange into pieces (w / shell) and see if have lumps, if is has you'll have to take the off, and then grind the orange into the machine until getting a thick texture.

Then just join orange to rest, and return to mess everything. Once you're all mixed up, just put the liquid in the form of cake (already with vegetable butter). Here I invented a bit and joined flax seeds, chia and hemp.

With the oven already hot, place the form and just wait till look good.

My stayed 30 minutes in the oven, but if I stayed a little longer only made well. You have to go out looking because out it can be good but in the inside can be liquid..
PS: Because this cake does not take eggs, it is normal that the texture doesn`t get equal of other cakes.
I hope you enjoyed this recipe, and if you recreate this say in the comments, I'd love to know if you do what i post on the blog.
Kisses and until next post!

Dealing with mean meat eaters!?

21:00 5
Dealing with mean meat eaters!?

ENGLISH:
When I became vegan, I never thought there would be people being evil and criticize my lifestyle or insulting me and thankfully rarely found these people.

But one thing I have ever met sometimes, unfortunately, are those people who make comments "trying" to change what I eat. Comments that make no sense, none at all, and that just makes me laugh, and the worst is when these people are your own family.

Yesterday I went at dinner at my grandparents' house, which I love, and there was a situation that made me quite angry. We were talking and I said I loved pumpkin soup when my grandfather says "what have the pumpkin done to you " I was like "wft?" And asked what he meant by that, but the truth is that my grandfather did that most stupid comment, "PLANTS / FRUIT ALSO HAVE FEELINGS, WHY DO YOU EAT THEM?". This comment is so stupid, and my reaction was just "attack" my grandfather saying that fruits are for us to eat, unlike animals, but soon realized that he would not hear me, so I just smiled and said that the comment was just plain dumb.

I realized that the best we can do in this type of situations is try not to attack people and think of the best way to make them shut the f* up, to make them realize that they are completely wrong or just IGNORE!

I have no problem eating at the same table with people who eat meat or fish, it`s right! But if I respect their choices, they just have to respect mines!

None of my family or friends are vegan or vegetarian and that not why I will stop going out with them !!

I hope you enjoyed this little talking/tip.
Did you ever been target with some kind of bad comments, whether vegan or not?

Tips for vegan beginners!

18:25 10
Tips for vegan beginners!

Vi muitos vídeos no youtube de “What i ate in a day”, “Going Vegan”, “Tips for beginners”, que ajudaram bastante.

ENGLISH:
Today I tell you about my tips on how to to start this "new life". When I started to want to stop eating animal foods I never thought it was as easy as it was. First I thought my family would never support me in this change and then about what would eat from that moment.
What helped me a lot was the days of research and more research on what was to be vegan and how to be it. I researched what should eat to replace the meat and fish, until I discovered that we do not need it, but we can just eat rice with boiled potatoes, for example.
I have seen many videos on youtube "What i ate in a day", "Going Vegan", "Tips for beginners", which helped a lot.
I will now leave here some tips so you can start this new challenge. (I am not professional in any of this, will just say what I learned in research and by my own experience)

Tip # 1
First of all have to have something that motivates you to be vegan.
It may be because of the animals, health reasons, or even the environment.
What led me to be vegan was cruelty to animals, and when I feel like a cake or something sweet, remember what got me started, and I think the animals that had to suffer for me to have a moment of pleasure to eat JUST CALORIES and the desire to eat disappears immediately!

Tip # 2
Search, search a lot, spend hours on the net watching videos and read articles about this.
When I wanted to stop eating animal products I spent all my days researching about what worried me, for example, "where come the proteins?". Questions I would do if I wasn`t vegan to a person who was.
Then when someone fill my head with questions, I knew what to say to leave them unanswered.
What it is also good for your parents realize everything and not worry so much about what you eat. Which brings me to the next tip!

Tip # 3
If you feel you can not become a vegan overnight, first provides a meal without meat and fish a week, then twice a week, and so on until after pass to dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, etc. It will be easier to get used to you.
For me it was easier to stop eating all at once, because for me, if I made gradually, I would think "now I can eat eggs and from tomorrow I leave eating" but the next day would think the same so for me this would not result. But each person has his way of change, for me it was easy like this but if you can do it, change slowly, you`re not competing for anyone, just change for you and for your motivation.

Tip # 4
Take food in your bag! One of the hardest things in this transition is to eat out!
At first I was afraid to to eat out because here in Portugal, there aren`t many places with vegan food, so I started to always take food on my bag, one (or two) packets of biscuits, fruit, nuts, you choose !
Now all i what is eat out to make people realize that being vegan is very easy even in restaurants. Just talk to employees and ask for an alternative without meat or fish.
For school I always take lunch from home. (maybe then do a post about what to bring to school)

Tip # 5
KEEP MOTIVATED! The more motivated you are, the more ease you'll have to continue this adventure.
What motivated me were the films and videos that I have seen, and what continues to motivate me are the people I follow on instagram, on youtube, blogs, etc.
I will leave here's what I recommend you to see, even if they are not even thinking about being vegan, take a view please!

Last tips
Do not judge other people for eating "animals", it is normal to feel bad when you find out what happens to animals but it will pass and you will realize that other people only eat meat because they don`t know what really happens.
It is normal to eat twice as much as you ate before! You now don`t eat fat meat but vegetables and fruit, which fills much less and have far fewer calories, so it's normal to fill the plate and clean it all (and you will not get fat because of it!)

VEGANISM NOT A DIET IS A LIVING WAY!
I hope you enjoyed this post!
